General Requirements:
All applicants must be active LBAW members to apply
The board meets virtually once a month on the first Thursday of the month at either 12pm or 5:30pm. Board members are expected to attend at least 80% of board meetings.
Board members must attend a Board Retreat held in early Spring for onboarding (and any additional retreats determined by the President).
Board members are also highly encouraged to participate in committees within the organization

The WSBA's MentorLink Mixers are unique, free-to-attend, one-time events that bring together people with similar interests in the legal profession. This mixer on May 29 will focus on the topic of Fostering Diverse and Inclusive Leadership in the Legal Profession.
WSBA and the Latino/a Bar Association of Washington (LBAW) is hosting a MentorLink Mixer: Fostering Diverse and Inclusive Leadership in the Legal Profession. The purpose of this event is to learn how to build leadership skills and access leadership opportunities in the legal profession and discuss how to improve the quality of legal services by diversifying the legal profession, making it welcome to all. Newer legal professionals interested in learning how to build legal skills and work towards a more diverse and inclusive profession are invited to talk with experienced legal professionals in small group breakouts. The primary goal for these mixers is that attendees leave educated, inspired, and encouraged to reflect on their own goals as they grow in the legal profession. Should a mentor and mentee decide to continue a mentorship relationship after the mixer, additional information on the self-structured mentorship program for MCLE credit is available.

Raise the Bar LBAW's 5k
A 5k FUNDRAISER FOR LATINX SCHOLARSHIPS, BILINGUAL LEGAL CLINICS, STUDENT MENTORSHIP
Come celebrate summertime with the Latina/o Bar Association of Washington (LBAW) at our second annual Run/Walk 5k on July 27 in Woodinville, WA! This is a summer fundraiser drive where we are raising money for free bilingual legal clinics throughout Washington, legal scholarships (we hope to give away $20,000 in scholarships this year), and legal mentoring. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization led purely by the efforts of volunteers and kind contributors, like you!
